PARCHMENT 67, PLAINWELL 48: At Plainwell, Parchment got another big game from Alex Wolf and outscored Plainwell 39-23 in the second half to win its opening-round game of the Legends Tournament.

Parchment will face Galesburg-Augusta in the championship at Schoolcraft at approximately 7:45 tonight. Wolf poured in a game-high 30 points, including four 3-pointers, and Matt Chappell added 12 points as Parchment improves to 4-0.

``There was just too much Alex Wolf. He played a great game,'' said Plainwell coach Larry Ash, whose team falls to 0-6. ``We played a good first half, we just didn't finish. We're going to have to learn to play all 32 minutes.'' Colin Yake led Plainwell with 15 points.

GALESBURG-AUGUSTA 49, SCHOOLCRAFT 39: At Schoolcraft, the Eagles shot an ice-cold 25 percent (15-for-60) from the floor compared to 47.5 percent (19-of-40) for G-A in the first round of the Legends Tournament. ``We are not playing 32 minutes and we're not making shots that we should,'' said Schoolcraft coach Randy Small, whose team slips to 2-2. ``We are not playing as aggressively as we should.'' Kevin Roe led a balanced G-A (3-2) attack with 13 points, Cory Schug added 12, including three 3-pointers, and Travis Boersma 10. Jared Stauffer and Ryan Chambers each scored 13 points for Schoolcraft.

Coach T comments: WOW! Was P-town a little rusty from 9 days off or what? I'm glad we were able to shake the rust in the second half and start playing our game. I watched the game tape when I got home and was very impressed with the number of turnovers our D forced. I thought that 10 second call was a HUGE momentum swing. I also watched the play where Mitch fouled that guy's elbow with his face and I'm in shock that the refs made that call. They also botched up the call against Perm on the baseline. It was definitely a charge. Nice position Perm. Hang in there and the calls will eventually balance out. Denver, keep crashing the boards. We need it. Same with you PJ. We need all the glasshoppers we can get. Al, nice rebound from your first half of 3 for 8 shooting to finish 12 for 19. MC you were everywhere. I love it. Corwin same thing. Fuzz, I have no idea why they Teed you up. The "tape don't lie" and it didn't look to me like you overreacted to getting smacked in the face. I give you two thumbs up for the intensity. Fellas, tomorrow night is going to be a tough one against a new and improved G-A team (3-2 on the season so far) so I hope you all got lots of shut eye. Oh, and one more thing. Richie, Joe Pie, and Ham, it was nice to see you there supporting your old teammates. Thanks!!!
