Coach T comments: I'm bumming. Alex was sick last Friday and now I'm sick today so no Berrien Springs related basketball comments and no B.S. pictures either. Instead I opted to dig back into my preseason pictures and pull out a few "P-TOWN PRIDE" photos. Hey guys, remember the beginning of the season and all the excitement we had before the first jump ball. Well, a lot of that excitement was because of the great run we had at the end of the season last year, making it all the way to the regional finals. The second season is a great time for all teams. Why? Because regardless of how the regular season played out every team starts over at 0-0. Take G.L. for example. They have gone nearly undefeated in the previous 2 years, only to go out in their first game of districts both years. Tell me that's not going to be foremost on their minds when they take the court against us in round one of districts. Sure, they are one of the areas best teams this year, but in truth they were even better last year and that still didn't help them get out of the first round. On the opposite end is a team like Otsego that lost the majority of their regular season games last year, then finished the season with a very nice playoff run to the district finals. We started out 7-0. We have since gone 3-8. But the bottom line is that in 2 weeks we will be 0-0 and G.L. will be 0-0 and one team will go home and the other team will move on. I believe in you guys. You are a championship caliber team and I know that if you play your game you are the #1 class B team in this area! You won the Legends tourney in back to back years. Now it's time to set your sites on getting another number (06) on the wall in the gym. How sweet would it be to see that number every time you walk into the gym? Well (im my best Dick Vitale voice), it's put up or shut up time baby and you are all PTPers in my book! You're AWESOME BABY with a capital A!!
