PHS Hoops Scrimmage

On September 12, 2004 Parchment High School played host to an amazing basketball event involving over 20 college coaches/recruiters and 40 of Michigan's finest high school basketball players. From the perspective of Stephen Bell the publisher of the www.michiganpreps.com web site here's how it went down. Alex is mentioned towards the end of the article. (Michiganpreps.com article) With all the "usual suspects" in the gym it was nice that Stephen Bell mentioned Alex by name in his article calling him a classic college point guard.

Mason Hoops Scrimmage

On September 19, 2004 Mason High School (just south of Lansing) played host to a high school basketball scrimmage that was attended by about 30 Michigan high school basketball players primarily from the Detroit and Lansing area, as well as about 15 college coaches/recruiters. Camp Darryl was represented well by Jasper, Bryan, Andy, Alex, and Shane.

Second Parchment Scrimmage

On September 26, 2004 ten more college coaches and recruiters representing the Mac and Big Ten as well as schools as far away as New York spent 2 hours in the Parchment gym watching some of Michigan's finest high school ballers show their skills. Camp Darryl was again represented well as was Parchment with Alex and Alex.

Tues 7/06 Sonics 7:00 W Alex missed this game.

Tues 8/03 Pistons 8:00 W Alex finished season with a 12.5 pts
                                            per game average.
                    Playoffs
Tues 8/10 Quarter-finals BYE
Thurs 8/12 Semi-finals W Dad went to the gym expecting to take
some pictures. Instead he ended up playing
for Alex's opponent the Hornets. With only
five players the Hornets got off to an early
11 point lead and a slim 1 point lead at the
half. In the second half the strength of
the Celtic's deep bench wore the Hornets down
allowing the Celtics to escape with a slim
8 point victory. Alex won the stats battle
                                            tallying 23 points against dad's 8.
Tues 8/17 Championship L The G-man was a "no show" paving the way for
"Q" (aka Franchise Hunt) to tear up in the
post. The Celtics didn't have enough O to
compensate for their lack of D. Alex did have
6 fans in the crowd (a personal record for him!
